food distribution

We do this mainly by making a food package available twice a month .

Food is distributed on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month. This from 1.30 pm to 5.30 pm.

The customers pay a symbolic contribution for this (administration costs).

Sell clothes

Every Tuesday  between 2-5 pm the clothing store is open for our customers, residents of Kortessem. No appointment is needed anymore.

If you still have second-hand clothing in good condition, you can bring it to us at the same times as stated above to support our operation.

Our customers are welcome to come and buy 2nd hand clothing at democratic prices.

Payment must always be made in cash and it is not possible to exchange .

All the income from the sale of clothes will flow back to the operation for the underprivileged._cc781905-5cde -3194-bb3b-136bad5cf58d_ It makes it possible to provide extra food; purchase other necessary household items or provide emergency aid for the underprivileged.

4x  Every year we organize a "seasonal sale". The correct data can be found in actions.

Are you eligible ?

Vincentius has been working for many years with the Social Services of the municipality of Kortessem to determine who is eligible. Based on a limited financial survey, a social worker checks whether the income of people who want to participate is below the established minimum limit.

In addition to income, this study primarily takes into account the family composition and the rent or mortgage loan. Extraordinary costs can always be taken into account. During the conversation it can also be checked whether the client has any other questions for help.

The social workers of the social service are all bound by professional secrecy , and the confidential treatment of the information provided by a citizen is thus guaranteed.

Information without obligation can always be obtained by telephone (011 37 91 40) or by e-mail to the social service ( info@ocmwkortessem.be ).

changing couch

Via the Diaper Bank, we invite everyone to collect and drop off diaper surpluses at a local collection point of the Diaper Bank.

The diapers are collected, sorted and sold in packages of 25 to the families for 1 euro.

The target group of the Diaper Bank are families from Kortessem who are in a financially difficult situation. Diapers are distributed for children between 0 and 4 years.

The distribution of the diapers happens at the same time as the food distribution. Families can then purchase a maximum of 1 package per distribution day and per child.
